A new-build family home in Cheshire is an opportunity that does not come around often; a blank canvas, a client ready to embrace what technology can offer, and the chance to build intelligence into the very fabric of the property from the ground up. The clients were not heavy technology users, but they understood the value of getting it right from the start. The priority was a seamless experience; future-proofed, unobtrusive, and simple enough for every member of the family to use without a second thought.
Built for a Family, Designed for the Future
Crestron Home provided the ideal platform; combining lighting, audio and video distribution, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, security, and access control under a single, intuitive interface. To retain the depth of automation and integration that our custom Crestron clients expect, we added a supplementary processor alongside the Crestron Home system; giving the family the best of both worlds. Control is available through on-wall touch screens, hand-held remotes, and apps across all their phones and tablets.
Lighting throughout the property runs on a DALI-controlled scheme with the Lutron Alisse keypad range; a beautifully considered product that sits as comfortably in the interior design as any considered finish.

Matter is a standard for control and feedback, supported by countless devices and all of the technology giants – Apple, Sony, Google, Amazon, Samsung to name but a few. Our integration allowed us to specify all manner of devices; from lights and locks to robotic vacuum cleaners in the project – further extending the reach and automation possibilities for the client.
