While we have tested the controller with a large range of DMX drivers, we cannot verify every device.  Our DMX controller sits squarely in the middle of the DMX timing specifications.

  • Dimmable – single DMX channel fixture
  • Tuneable – two channels (Warm + Cool White), blends any colour temperature between the two
  • RGB – three channels (Red, Green, Blue) — common for colour-changing tape
  • RGBW – four channels (Red, Green, Blue, White) for more accurate unsaturated tones
  • RGB Tuneable – five channels (RGB + Warm/Cool White) — combines RGB and Tuneable in one fixture
  • WAC AiSPiRE Atmosphere – two channels (Intensity + Calibrated Colour Temperature)
  • WAC AiSPiRE Aurora – four channels (Intensity, CCT, Saturation, Hue)
  • WAC AiSPiRE Linear Tuneable – four channels (Cool White, Mid White, Warm White, Intensity) — for tuneable white linear tape
  • WAC AiSPiRE Linear RGB Tuneable – seven channels (RGB, Warm/Cool White, RGB Intensity, CCT Intensity) — for colour and tuneable white linear tape
  • WAC Aether – four channels (Intensity, CCT, Saturation, Hue) — tuneable white with saturation/hue
  • WAC Color Scaping – five channels (Intensity, CCT, Red, Green, Blue)
  • Custom – configurable number of channels, raw DMX values set directly, with user-defined channel names
  • Colorbeam RGB (Dimmer and Strobe) – five channels (RGB + Intensity + Strobe); note the strobe feature isn’t yet supported in this driver

PLEASE NOTE: A separate power supply is required.  Please refer to the datasheet for specifications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some of the more common questions are answered here

The configuration tool is showing no connection or an intermittent green light. How do I fix this?
The UC-DMX-210 only supports two simultaneous connections. Check the LED on the front of the device, it will flash to indicate the number of active connections. If it flashes more than once, you have too many connections open. To resolve this, close any other connections to the DMX controller.
How many lights can I have connected to one controller?
You can normally have up to 32 connected, however you can add more via a repeater.
I would like to buy multiple DMX controllers but I need more than are in stock on the shop page?
For more information contact us at [email protected]
What is the power requirement?
The UC-DMX devices draw around 30mA (or 0.7W) @ 24VDC.
Is a power supply included?
No. The UC-DMX products are designed to be mounted in a DIN enclosure and it is assumed there will already be suitable DC power available.  The device can be powered from 9VDC-24VDC, so - for example - a Cresnet power bus is ideal for this purpose.
How many channels can the DMX support?
Question How many channels can the UC-DMX-210 support? Answer The UC-DMX-210 supports all 512 channels.
