Over the last few weeks Oliver has been asked to participate in two podcast that have been created specifically for the Custom Installation industry (we're guessing he's become so popular on the back of our recent global award win ;-)).
Based in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, Edge Cottage is anything but a cottage. Spread over two floors and a delightful mix of old and new, featuring stunning Zinc and Oak cladding details as well as corner to corner Sky-Frame opening system – this is truly a family home to behold.
We are beyond delighted to have been awarded the "Best Integrated Home Global" Award last night at the CEDIA Awards taking place at the British Museum in London. In addition, we also won the "Best Integrated Home Level II" - what a night!
This project was amazing teamwork with installation experts Intuitive Homes whom we work with on the majority of our projects; many of which have gone onto to win awards!
Following the announcement during Apple’s WWDC conference back in June 2018 that Apple TV would soon get IP control via Crestron, there has been much anticipation of what might be released. While people wait for something to appear on the horizon Ultamation have moved forward to deliver the only MediaRemote based integration module for Apple TV.
Ultamation is known for creating reliable, innovative and popular modules; but did you know we also sell hardware too?
Being honest, it’s just one item but we are very proud of what we’ve created. The Ultamation UC-DMX-200 is an Ethernet to DMX control interface for DIN rail mounting applications. It features complete control of an entire 512 channel DMX universe, the UC-DMX-200 provides the bridge between any programmable Ethernet based control system and a DMX lighting system (or any other DMX controlled devices).
We launched SIMPLIfied 2 a few weeks ago after over six months of development. We have found it invaluable in our office since, however it is tricky to convey this, as the best way for anyone to appreciate it is to try it yourself. To encourage this, we released the basic version for free. This version provides a simple mechanism to analyse your SIMPL programs for easily recognisable issues which would generate notices, warnings or errors in a normal compile but in the fraction of the time without having to go through the time consuming compilation step. Also, when you save your program in SIMPL, it automatically refreshes in SIMPLified 2.
To try and demonstrate how the other entitlements can help, we’ve done a case study showing how we used it in a recent job.
This week sees much excitement in the Ultamation office with the launch of our new application, SIMPLified 2, which is the culmination of a 12 months of work. In a nutshell, it is a tool to analyse your SIMPL Windows programs for common issues. Through add-on entitlements, which can be purchased, you can open up a whole toolkit of useful functions enabling you to create more efficient, reliable, cleaner and maintainable programs. We started releasing information on it last week and the initial feedback from one Chief Technical Officer with over 20 year industry experience was "Mind blown - This looks absolutely game-changing!".
A couple of months ago we were honoured to be asked if we would like to be featured in CEPro's Case Studies, where journalist Daniel Sait would come up to Liverpool and spend the day with us to find out more about Ultamation and what we do. After catching up with him at ISE 2018, we arranged a suitable time for him to visit us.
Over the last couple of weeks, we have been asked to speak at a couple of events in Liverpool. Liverpool is such a great city to be based in, particularly with events bringing various sectors of the business community together. Being based at Liverpool Science Park puts us in an ideal position and gives us the contacts to get involved. This being British Science Week gives us a perfect opportunity to talk about technology and how Computer Science is so important in our future industries ... especially with Industry 4.0 on the horizon.
The excitement of winning an award for our augmented reality solution is just about calming down and we wanted to take the opportunity to share the official Crestron EMEA Awards brochure.
