Another Qualified Crestron Programmer

We're very pleased to announce that Andy Tatton (our Senior Control Systems Engineer) has now qualified as a Crestron Certified Programmer.  This means he has achieved the highest level of Crestron programming.  To obtain this, he showed commitment by passing the three month test and demonstrated superb programming skills.  The great news for Ultamation is that we now have two programmers at this level meaning we can offer you an even better service.

Why Not?

Although Crestron's new Smart Graphics promises to revolutionise the quality of touchpanel design and user experience for Crestron systems, we've developed a series of software modules that allow you to use responsive, truly radial, controls on Crestron legacy panels.  Combining the module with appropriate imagery, the control is transformed into a dial for things like heating or volume control or mode selection.

RGB Colour Wheel Demo


Our RGB colour wheel module has been available for a while now, and can be seen in action at both of Crestron's UK experience centres (The Northern office in Leeds and Crestron's UK HQ in Cobham)

For those who aren't able to get over to either of them, we thought it would be cool to show you the RGB colour wheel in action, running along side a DMX lighting controller.

Analogue Clock - A Crestron World First?

The Analogue Clock ControlWe're incredibly proud to announce, what we believe to be a Crestron world-first.  The first commercially available, non-Crestron authored, Smart Graphic control (previously known as Core3UI).  Ultamation's analogue clock is a beautiful, fully scalable, custom control that takes the time automatically from the control processor.  We've provided a design-time facility to give the clock an offset so you can give your clients the local time at any of their properties.  You can also choose whether to display the second hand too.

New Website Launched

It's been a very long time in the making (we've been a little bit busy designing control systems, modules and custom controls) but I'm delighted to unveil the new Ultamation website.  The old site was rather dry and focussed very much on our business-2-business activities.  The new site puts the end-user client firmly centre stage, but also has comprehensive coverage of our B2B work, and we've opened an online shop for our custom programming modules, tools, graphics and even some free resources for the technical community.

Crestron Partner with British Institute of Interior Design

Crestron have recently partnered with the British Institute of Interior Design.  While this is a good step towards bringing two complementary disciplines closer together, we're also very pleased that this article describing the partnership has used one of our touch panels within the article.

Salford City Stadium

Ultamation were asked to be a part of the team creating the new home of Salford Rugby League Club.  The £16 million project will not only accommodate a crowd of 12,000 extending up to 20,000 over time, but  also has built-in offices, player facilities, hospitality boxes, concessions, community resources, two community outdoor sports pitches and will be available for business and public hire.
