This weekend was a momentous one for Ultamation as we saw one of our projects featured on the front page of The FT. London and New York-based technology journalist, Jonathan Margolis, visited the leafy suburbs of Bowdon, near Manchester, to see the award-winning Man Cave project for himself. I think we can safely say he was blown away; stating that the client had out California’d California.
This week we are delighted to welcome Emmanuel Bustos to our team as our latest Control System Programmer. Emma (or Manu, to avoid confusion with our other Emma!), who only arrived in Liverpool at the start of summer, joins us originally from Argentina and more recently Italy. As an experienced programmer he is getting stuck into learning the ways of Crestron and how we work, and with Spanish and Italian as his other languages it adds to our growing portfolio of multi-lingual touch panels.
As GB sees itself climbing up the Olympics Medal table with more gold medals today, Ultamation are also celebrating with our very own Oliver Hall getting his Gold Crestron Master Programmer.
The examiner commented "You have really raised the bar on the others with not only your programming knowledge but industry knowledge. I also really appreciated the amount of time spend on the documentation part as it was very helpful with testing out all your examples ... Congratulations Oliver on a job well done. "
We have a great opportunity for someone new to join our team as a Control Systems Engineer.
We require a highly motivated individual, with a “can do” approach and excellent technical knowledge in computing and networking to join the company working in the exciting world of control systems and the “Internet of Things”.
On Friday evening, Steve from Intuitive Homes and Oliver from Ultamation went to the CEDIA Awards held at Guildhall in London.
The CEDIA Awards are seen as the Oscars of the home technology industry and celebrates technical excellence in design, installation and integration across the EMEA. These awards honour innovation, creativity, and technical skill, and help illustrate the many ways technology enhances the home.
A few of months ago we released our Apple TV Ethernet Control Module for Crestron Systems. We are very proud to be the first to release such a module for the Crestron platform and have had some great feedback from those who have purchased the module so far.
Last year we were very proud to open our Show Home, which we have created with Intuitive Homes, Janey Butler Interiors and Llama Developments.
Ultamation's Theme Creator (for Crestron Smart Graphics) is one of our best sellers on our website shop. So we thought it was about time to show off some of your work.
This week we were honored to be chosen as one of Liverpool Science Park's Top 10 Amazing Creatives to celebrate their Ten Year Anniversary. We have been based at Liverpool Science Park for 6 years and were asked to talk about how the business started, why Liverpool is the place to be and what's next for Ultamation.

With the release of our Apple TV IP control module for Crestron 3-Series processors, we've also written an article extolling the virtues of SIMPL#- Crestron's C#-based programming environment - which opens the door to doing all sorts of cool things.
