Apple TV moves into 5th Generation
In September 2017 Apple unveiled a new, fifth-generation Apple TV device. This latest device brings new features such as 4K and HDR to Apple TV for the first time. According to Apple "4K gives you a crisper picture using four times more pixels than standard HD. High Dynamic Range (HDR) delivers brighter, more realistic colours and greater detail" and who doesn't want that?
This is all great news and as our Apple TV module is consistently one of our top sellers, we knew it wouldn't be long before our informed customers would be asking if it was compatible.
For those of your who aren't aware of this module, it uses Crestron IP control of Apple TVs which allows you to control the device over the same wire that connects it to your network switch. In addition, you get more control than offered by the standard remote (excluding the special features of the newer BlueTooth remote) plus, you also get text entry and feedback of track position and transport state.
With comments such as:
" We have been so pleased with the modules functionality throughout this year."
"This is the control module we have all been looking for, and asking for on all the forums over all these years."
And other programmers (not associated in any way with Ultamation) recommending our module to others as an easy solution for Apple TV control we didn't want to let anyone down.
Today, we are pleased to say that we have done the appropriate testing ... drum roll please ... and our module works brilliantly with Apple TV's 5th Generation!
